I Feel The Blues!

I've been a long time fan of rock & roll music - ultimately leaning towards the classic rock. But, after a trip to Louisiana, I discovered Zydaco and the Blues. Don't want rap, don't want Bieber, not (yawn) classical.

Afternoon Surprise!

I had to work on Sunday, left around 6:30 a.m. and got home about 3 p.m. I had to leave Scrappy behind since they didn't allow dogs where we were having our tournament.

DALTON'S VOICE - Dalton 2000-2012 - Scrappy is home - Crimebusting takes forever and isn't just!

This is a continuing story of Dalton.  The updates were getting buried within all the comments and a NV friend said it was getting a little hard to follow since Dalton's death. I haven't been handling it well.  All I can remember is Dalton's last two days after returni …

DALTON - 2000 - 2012. All is not lost....Yet......

RENEWED HOPE!  A week or so ago, the detective said the D.A. wouldn't take the case because there wasn't enough evidence for a prosecution.  REALLY?  With neighbors watching him feed my dogs chicken, with the guy screaming at them to shut up and then going in the  …

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow will keep my Hummers from eating!

OK, admittedly I was bored, today. I'd done my house cleaning yesterday, and couldn't (wouldn't) do anything outside because of the cold, rain and potential snow. So, I shot my hummers through the window.

Some Melodic Reasons Why You Should Vote Republican!

Outside of being hysterically funny, it recaptures some of the reasons why we are where we are. If you can't have a sense of humor, it just makes going through life so.....hard! Sent to me by a Democratic friend in Kentucky.

Well, I'll Bee Darned!

Well, we all have been obsessed over the unusually warm weather. It was about 70 degrees in my little mountain town, today, and was about 78 at Boomerang's (my horse). I was out in my backyard and heard bees humming loudly.

An Unseasonably Warm Day - It's for the Birds!

It's been so unseasonably warm, lately, that I thought I'd better get some water on the lawns. It was nearly 80 degrees in my little mountain town and was in the high 80's "down below." So, I thought I'd better start up the sprinklers, and even filled up and turned on the fount …

Boomerang's Pearl

Every year in October, I’m called to the town of Santa Maria, California, on business. I drive up Friday afternoon, all of my co-workers get together for dinner at this great Chinese restaurant, and then we get ready for a full weekend event.

Chance, 1999-2012

Just got back from having my dear Chance put to sleep. Her quality of life had become such that it was really the most humane thing to do. When I was married to the 2nd, I was living at his place and had gone in to his son's room to collect clothes for laundry.

Just a massive simple cloud that caught my attention.

Driving back from work in Ventura, I cross the 5 Freeway and the Santa Clarita Valley sprawls out before me. I had to make a quick stop at the grocery store and when I came out, I was struck with this HUGE cloud that was spreading across the valley and up the canyon.

Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me, I'm still takin' photos!

My poor horse had his booster shots today, so I spent some time rubbing his neck and giving him some molasses and peppermint cookies to soothe his frazzled nerves. When I got home, I noticed the pretty pink wispy clouds over the hills in the back.
